Red Pomegranate
All Red Pomegranate dishes are hand painted using an ancient process called gilding. In short, gilding is process in which the clear glass is cast with a mold, then the paining of the glass is done on the underside of the dish. Each dish comes with a colorful notecard that explains the process in detail straight from the designer, Sudi Taleghani. Red Pomegranate is a fair trade company that is constantly looking at greener methods of production; the factory recycles water that is used for cleaning as well as the glass and metals used in gilding. Red Pomegranate partner factories in Turkey all follow European trade and production standards.
